Relics of medieval architecture of Wroclaw, Wroclaw today and tomorrow, Architectural artistic craft 12th – 20th century

One of the most beautiful places in Wroclaw, which are worth visiting and getting to know, is built in the second half of the fifteenth century, then on the outskirts of the city, Bernardine monastery and church - since 1965 the office of the Museum of Architecture.
This unique ensemble is one of the few facilities in Silesia, and the only one in Wroclaw, preserves the original gothic cloisters surrounding the inner garden.

How to find us? Museum of Architecture is located in the center of the city, with the tact of the leading tourist market to the rotunda Panorama Raclawicka. We operate in Wroclaw since 1965, as the only institution of its kind in Poland. We belong to the elite group of institutions constituting the World Confederation of Architectural Museums (ICAM).

     
Museum of Architecture is:
- over forty years of activity related to the collection, storage and protection of architectural works of art, their maintenance, development and dissemination
- more than 24,000 objects belonging to museum collections, of which only a small part is exhibited in the permanent exhibitions
- Poland's largest collection of construction plans, provided by the department - Museum Archives Building
- 8 exhibition halls offering a total area of 1,730 m2

Live meetings with contemporary architecture
Architecture - the local context, social, cultural and local. The main objectives of the One Project Gallery. About these aspects of architecture we talk with invited guests. Listen to their ideas, we analyze the projects together, we talk. One Project Gallery is organized every first Thursday of each month.

Education for the Future
Educational Offer Museum of Architecture is addressed to customers of all ages. Through the museum lessons, lectures and art workshops we want to encourage the deepening of knowledge of ancient and modern architecture, as well as selected fields of arts and crafts. We welcome your participation in the school's museum exhibitions and meetings of the accompanying time.

Publishing
Publishing activity is associated with the Museum presented exhibitions and temporary collections of the Museum. All issued by the museum after 2000 publications are available at the museum bookstore. The Museum also sells mail-order.

Action-Creation
Action-creation. Live Design is a special program prepared with a view to broad audience of architects and the work being given the most interesting, a young architectural teams to show their skills during the competition.

The event is a competition competence. Invited young architectural teams to design the building within 10 hours of a defined location, program and function. About what will be the subject of design, participants will learn only at the start of the event. Posts architects are at all times open to the public. The work of designers, shown in the form of presentations and model are democratically rated by the public. Selected in ten Polish cities best teams participate in the national finals at the Museum of Architecture in Wroclaw.
The basic message of the event is to promote the creative nature of the work of architects and architecture of the image as a branch of art.
