Hradec KraloveIt is one of the largest and the most important cities in the Czech Republic. Hradec Kralove is situated in north-eastern part of the Czech Republic, at the meeting point or rivers Elbe and Orlice. It has 95 thousand inhabitants. Historical sources claim that this it the oldest established Czech city. In the Middle Ages it was a dowry town of the Czech queens. An evidence of its wealth is the Cathedral of Holy Ghost, dating from the 14th century. Next to it there is the White Tower, dating from the 16th century. During the reign of Maria Theresa and Joseph II, the city was converted into stronghold. After the walls had been demolished, the city was converted into modern style. | Centrum Informacji Turystycznej we Wrocławiu
