Information about the public transport in Wroclaw: means of communication, routes, ticket fares, taxis.

Buses and trams

The public transport includes bus and tram services. The bus lines usually have numbers from 100 to 149, fast lines have letters A, C, D, E, K and N, suburban lines have numbers 604 to 623, night lines – 240 to 249. The tram lines have numbers 1 to 24, and letters OP and OL. There are no night trams in Wroclaw.

Tickets
When using the public transport, you should have a one-time ticket or a travel card. Full ticket fare for normal line is PLN 2.40, reduced ticket* - PLN 1.20 One-time ticket for a night and fast line is PLN 2.80 – full ticket, and PLN 1.40 – reduced ticket*.
Time-tickets: 30', 60', 90', 24 h, 48 h, 72 h. The normal ticket for 30 minutes cost 2,40 PLN, reduced - 1,20 PLN, the normal ticket for 72 hours cost 24 PLN, reduced - 12 PLN. 
Travel cards: 7-days, 30-days, 60-days, and 90-days.

The tickets can be bought in special distributing points and special ticket machines in bus or tram and special machines, located at bus or tram stops.

There is more than ten taxi corporations operating in Wroclaw. Their list and telephone numbers can be found here. It is worth to know that ordering a taxi by phone is cheaper than taking one from a taxi rank.
